Covington Connector

City of Covington, WA

The team designed improvements for nearly two miles of a new 5-lane roadway. Intersection improvements include two multi-lane roundabouts, two new traffic signals, and two single-lane roundabouts at a ramp interchange. Enhancements feature decorative lighting, artistic elements in roundabout central islands, a shared-use wildlife and pedestrian trail undercrossing, and landscaping.

Madigan Access Improvements

City of Lakewood, WA

Transpo led the traffic operation and safety analysis, concept development, and PS&E of the traffic signal system at the interchange along I-5, which provides primary access to the Madigan Army Hospital on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Since construction was completed, the system has improved emergency access and dramatically reduced delay and queue lengths at intersections.
