Transpo conducted an extensive transit planning study along Muroor Road, a primary arterial that spans much of the island and links to downtown Abu Dhabi. The study compared dual transit corridors with single corridors and evaluated alternative transit modes within each. Transpo’s study focused on improving the streetscape and connectivity along and across Muroor Road.

Transpo devised a multimodal transportation master plan for North Wathba, a community planned for the eastern edge of Abu Dhabi. The city is anticipated to become home to residents working in the nearby Capital City District. The project includes developing 12,000 acres of vacant desert land into a modern community with historic Arabic neighborhood design principles, which dictate a transportation network focused on walkability and transit.
